Del Mar Climate Alliance
A healthier climate.
A stronger community.
The Del Mar Climate Alliance was founded in 2023 by local residents concerned about the growing impacts of climate change on health and the local and regional environment.
Led by Carol Kerridge, the group raises awareness through symposia featuring experts from UC San Diego, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, San Diego State University and local nonprofits.
Its mission is to empower community members to advocate for climate solutions, take meaningful action, and build local resilience.
Together, we can make a difference.

Who We Are
In 2023, local residents formed the Del Mar Climate Alliance to better understand our changing climate and inspire action that protects our homes, businesses and community resilience.
We host free public climate action education symposiums at the City of Del Mar Civic Center, featuring leading scientists, innovators, and environmental experts.
Our mission is clear and urgent: to catalyze meaningful change within our community through clean energy adoption, carbon reduction, and collective engagement.
What We Do
Twice annually, we host a free public climate action education symposium at the City of Del Mar Civic Center, featuring leading scientists, innovators, and environmental experts. These events share the latest insights on climate change, sustainability, and preparedness and empower residents with knowledge and practical steps to address climate challenges and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
